The inspiration behind this song is all true. The bee hive was real, and when i was little i didn't understand them -- looked at them as insects. Now, every time I go back home, there they are. They've grown with me: mellowing out, settling in. They don't swarm so much as float in a line, single file, over my neighbor's fence to some rhododendrons. I still miss my PAPA TOM (P.T.), and if it weren't for him I wouldn't be making music right now.
