which is a great take on Prince's "Computer Blue" skit (classic).
In the tradition of imagery i just tried to use the adverse of familiar concepts (childhood nostalgia) to illustrate a film nior view of Portland. if you haven't seen Malanoche, netflix that shit. Gus Van Sant shows a super-raw base view of the city and the life down there. it's almost hard to reconcile 80s portland with 2000's portland. quickly it's becoming a playground, or even a zoo of trendy service workers on display for the myriad heirs to disposable income. But still, if you go down to the train yards, crack cans sauvie island, or get lost in St. Johns you get a glimpse into the past.
